April, 2019: A new study commissioned by CFDC partner organization Urban Air Initiative (UAI) confirms that higher ethanol blends can provide significant emission benefits to standard automobiles. The study was conducted by the University of North Carolina and focused on splash blending ethanol to reach a 27% blend. The fuel was tested under real world driving conditions and lowered particulate matter, CO2, and Carbon monoxide emissions.
